NatusAI Orion: from a business request to a reviewed, running application

Describe what an application should do. Orion is designed as one place where your team refines the request, reviews the work and follows the application as it runs and changes. People approve every release.

  • A shorter path from request to working application, without your teams operating a stack of developer tools.
  • Every change traceable from the original request to its release and its observed effect.
  • No AI approves its own work: proposal, checks and release stay separate, and a person decides.

What it does for the business

Applications that keep up with the business

Business requests often wait in an IT queue, then arrive months later without a record of why choices were made. Orion keeps the request, the decisions and the result side by side.

  1. Request

Describe the outcome and capture the people, constraints and context that matter.

  2. Refine

Turn the request into acceptance criteria that people can review and agree.

  3. Verify

Inspect a preview, the proposed change and the checks performed against it.

  4. Release and observe

Track the release, its deployment and what monitoring shows afterwards.

Honest status

What you can use today, and what is on the roadmap

We separate what is proven from what is coming, and label both. NatusAI Orion is on our roadmap.

What you can use today

  • A delivery engagement: our team builds the application with you, on the engine proven in our client projects, following this same request-to-release discipline.
  • NatusAI Lyra interfaces (Available) for dashboards, maps, documents and conversations.
  • You own the result: source, data and application run in your environment.

What’s on the roadmap

Roadmap
  • Orion as a self-service workspace for your own teams.
  • AI-assisted creation from a described need, with a preview and the evidence behind it.
  • An improvement loop that links monitoring back to the original request.

How it connects

Orion is designed as an application built on NatusAI Cygnus, with a NatusAI Lyra interface, hosted on NatusAI Draco and recoverable through NatusAI Gemini. Inside Orion Workspace: how one request is intended to stay traceable to its outcome.

For your technical team
  • Planned lifecycle objects are tracked as distinct outcomes: accepted requirement, merged change, released artefact, healthy deployment (milestone table).
  • Orion is intended to be a Cygnus application with a Lyra front end, hosted on Draco, managing other applications built on the same foundation. This application-level self-hosting is a design direction, not a shipped capability.
  • Planned Cygnus v1 already requires bounded, registered remediation with independent verification and rollback controls. Self-healing applications remain a platform vision.

How NatusAI Orion de-risks AI

Sovereignty, governance and security at NatusAI

Ownership

Applications, source and data are yours and run in your environment. The exit is documented from the start.

Evidence

Each release links to the request, the acceptance criteria and the checks it passed.

Human review

An AI agent cannot approve its own change or grant itself more access.

Recovery

An independent route to restore the platform, even if Orion or its AI provider is unavailable, is a design requirement.

Questions

Questions about NatusAI Orion

Short answers for decision-makers. Your technical team will find the detail in the disclosure above.

Can an AI agent approve its own changes?

No. Proposal, verification and promotion are separate. An agent cannot grant itself authority or approve a change that carries authority.

Is NatusAI Orion available today?

Not as a product. Orion is on our roadmap. Today our team delivers applications with the same request-to-release discipline, on the engine proven in our client projects.

Does Orion promise self-healing applications?

Orion’s wider self-monitoring and recovery experience is a platform vision. Planned NatusAI Cygnus v1 already requires bounded, registered remediation with independent verification and rollback controls; that requirement is not evidence of a released service.

What if Orion or its AI provider is unavailable?

The design calls for an independent route to restore and run the platform without them. It is a requirement for the product, not yet a service guarantee.
